JUST THREE?! CRUEL. Jane Austen - I’ve ready EVERYTHING she’s ever written. Even her juvenalia (which is basically the worst word in the English language. Much worse than moist.), The Bronte sisters, Jasper Fforde - the meta-ness of the Thursday Next series just speaks to me, Laini Taylor - I still remember how it felt to be twisted up by Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I have tattoos because it felt like that art belonged on the outside of my brain, instead of in. -L. Sky

The first one was after a big change in my life and I needed a permanent reminder to be kinder to myself, to put myself first. The others are from places I’ve traveled with my spouse. -L. Ford

Favorite place you’ve traveled to? 

Odessa, Ukraine. New Orleans, LA. Montreal, Canada. -L. Sky

Where would you like to travel to?

If you had any superpower what would it be? 

The ability to calm a toddler. -L. Sky

Teleportation, Kyle. That’s moving myself (with mind bullets)! But seriously, teleportation. I’d never have to commute again. Though I recently learned, I like being in my car, by myself, letting my mind wander in traffic or sing along to music. It’s good me time. So…….Green Lantern powers. The power to create anything within my imagination. Can the Green Lantern eat the food he’s imagined up? -L. Ford

How long have you been friends? 

We have been friends for….more than ten years now. I mean, we have to have read hundreds of books together, at this point.

What do you like to do together (in person)? 

Try new restaurants. Stay for too long over glasses of wine, or a cocktail, or tea and coffee talking shop (theatre and writing, and reading) non-stop. -L. Sky 

We like to go see theatre productions together. Sky is my #1 plus one for my subscriber tickets. -L. Ford

How are you the same? And how are you different?

We have similar tastes in books and movies, though it’s great fun when we disagree. We have similar core values and fight for what matters most on the same battlegrounds. Our differences are superficial, but fun to notice. I’m short, Ford is tall. I don’t eat meat and love coffee. Ford is a carnivore with a tea obsession. I am a cat person. Ford is a dog person, allergic to my cats. I’m an extravert. Ford is not. We are Yin and Yang, constantly trying to achieve balance. It works for us. -L. Sky
